Thank you for letting me know that I have ammunition from 1955 from Factory 11 I'm listening on a Bluetooth speaker so I did not even notice the lip-smacking I was worried about collecting information so those who worry about your ways of speaking, fuck them. I have yet to shoot any of my couple thousand rounds, just bought them way cheap, back in the day and sat on them. Mine however look like 70's manufacturing, better everything but from 1955.

I have surplus 8mm mauser ammo what is at 9:35 , and unfortunately those ammo is a piece of cr.p. The primer is inserted a bit deeper than normally have to be, and my rifle misfire about this.

Rather than take cheap shots at the lip smacking and other noises, I thank you for the video and the heads up on the green primer test cartridges….very helpful, thank you. I stutter at times, so I guess the perfect people out there would ridicule me with no mercy despite how good the video was…too bad we can't all be so perfect…thank you.

What makes you think 8 MM amo is hard to get? It is all over the net. There is even new made 8 mm ammo I don't think you know what you are talking about.

That Romanian bullet is with steel core and 56 mm case. Cut it and you will see the core. In some Mausers and M48s blows through the bolt but works.

My yugo m48 extractor doesn’t like the romanian surplus, lets go of empty shells on extraction causing failure to eject. New brass ammo works flawless though

Good info. I bought an ammo can full of the 1943 stuff packed in bandoliers in stripper clips. Hopefully it works good in my yugo m48 I bought. I don’t know anything about 8mm yet.

I like how 3 quarters of the comments are telling you to stop lip smacking they are not wrong it is extremely annoying and really takes you out of what could be a really informative video.

If you get heavily tarnished rounds i use brasso metal polish and they clean right up. Polished rounds load like a dream.

A father of a freind of mine back in the 80s always shot surplus ammo. Well i was there one day he must have come across one of these proof rounds because the rifle backfired violently. He was standing and dropped the rifle. The rifle survived and his dad only suffered some facial burns.

Ahh its all gd. If it took tnt to blow a mauser receiver than i'll take the ''cheap'' risk.if they could shoot with a barrel filled with mud and snow my clean ass bore will pop em out no problem.

Lots of bad info. 5 yrs after this video and there is still plenty of 8mm ammo. It may not be cheap but you can find it in bulk.

I got some Iranian stuff I think from the 50s and it hangs super bad! Love it! Its good for me to train my trigger discipline. I do not allow anyone else to touch it though.
