I live in Houston, and honestly this guy hasn’t done shit. Crime is on the rise and I feel like law abiding gun owners have done more to protect themselves than the officers do. In my honest opinion I don’t agree with loss of life, nor my second amendment being infringed. So for those who can legally own a firearm please express your rights! The only way to defend yourself from a criminal with a firearm is with a firearm

Slow down there chief. It's called the American constitution. We have the right to bear arms. It's people that are the issue not the guns. Criminals will always be criminals. They will always find a way to break the law. Don't even Gun control is not the answer.

I need numbers, statistics and references about EVERYTHING. Including the number of false allegations against people by their partners or spouses etc.
What he is using all of his emotion to get is basically red flag laws.
He needs to maintain his composure and act professional. Reacting with feelings and emotions causes problems. -

Every Cop that joins the police academy knows that you could possibly be killed in the line duty, but the constitution gives every American citizen the right to bear arms but America constantly breaks that constitution picking and choosing who has that right into no one has a right at all, emotionalism and feelings are the greatest threat to our nation it makes a person become illogical.

I just don’t understand how an officer has to answer a domestic violence call without a partner? It just sounds like they are walking into trouble trying to de-escalateA highly emotionally charged individual. I’m not trying to make this about guns or anything but I’ve also heard that sometimes the women will freak out because they still love their partner and they will attack the cop because they don’t want to see him go to jail.

Before you make these kinds of demands be sure your officers are able to protect citizens on a second to second basis. For all the wife and girlfriends shot by abusive mates there are many, many people who need to have the means to protect themselves in the seconds and minutes before law enforcement can reach them. Don’t throw the baby out with the dirty water.
