Drum are amazing. They are a very flaky sweet meat if you cut out the blood line. Awesome fish!

    Very nice catch!

If you cut them into strips and deep fry them, wouldn’t they be called “Drum-sticks?” 🤔😁

Nice catch, my boys( 26and 28)I have also been chasing Reds. We fish from kayaks. It’s great your spending with your dad. They are better than me at it. Still have a great time being with them.

Looks like you just as easily could have been duck hunting with the way you’re dressed! We target reds after late afternoon hunts all the time.

Nice fish though. That’ll make for some good dinner if it hasn’t already.

Not to some people I know, they start cussing when they hook into a redfish while trout fishing.

The only time I ate drum was when I went camping out at Green leaf state park in North Eastern Oklahoma, maybe I didn’t cook it right but the fish just wasn’t edible in my opinion. Any advice?
