Ammo suggestions

Tried out my new KKM barrel and comp today. Had issues feeding/chambering and slide failed to lock often. Was shooting 115grn Winchester. What readily available, hotter loaded target ammo do you comp guys run? Or does everybody just swap to a lighter recoil spring?

I use Winchester White Box NATO 124 Grain. It is closer to +P pressures and has proven for me to be of consistent quality and cycles reliably. I try to stockpile it when it is available at a decent price. These days it is closer to 30c a round. hopefully this will go back down a bit. I get better performance all around with the NATO ammo, less sloppy ejection on my Glocks and my CZ spits the casings like 20′ away.

Lighter recoil spring would help. That comp will bring so much of that pressure down, so recoil spring or stick to 124gr

If I am not loading my own I run S&B 124. It is still available and decent priced.

Use either 124 (+p ideal) or use a stainless steel guide rod with 13-15 lb springs. You’ll have to experiment. I had to buy 3 different ones. The uncaptured ended up working but I almost chunked it in the creek behind my house before finally getting it in. I was curious on the KKM bc I have tried 5 others. Some you don’t need to change shit, some it’s an utter pain in the ass. If I could walk outside and shoot off my deck I wouldn’t care but going to a range and effing with it sucks donkey balls. For a little more and a lot smaller the Mayhem Syndicate works fine with OEM. So does legion precision comps. I got the shorty and have a buddy with the regular one. THey run like a top. Obviously this won’t help you now but future reference you can use those on any double stack Glock with whatever threaded barrel you want. 2/28 threading anyway. (Except MS THEY ARE PROPRIETARY AS I BELIEVE THE KKM System is. So it cost almost a g43 for the set.

Arc division Sparc and Sparc v2 – works awesome with right ammo / springs only ( for me ) all guns (esp glocks ) have different tolerances which makes it a crapshoot.

Agency arms – has to f with it.

Griffin mini comp – yes it works. Just not mind blowing like some of the others. Only $60 too.

Suarez g43 and mini (similar time griffin and only $25) get here this week (I hope).
