Long story short, cable snapped on my PSE during moose season resulting in a disaster and a repair bill more than the bow is worth. I had actually considered moving up from a 30” ATA to 33-35 but laughed as most bows are aiming for the shorter sizes which was opposite of when I last bought a bow.
So as I’m looking at Bear, Prime, Elite, etc… I realize that it seems everyone is tuning the absolute bajesus out of their bows by playing with bus cables and timing and modifying limb stops and blah blah. As I guy without a local shop, 105 km away, I see all this and it totally kills me thinking I’ll have to drive and go back and forth for tuning etc. It just kills my interest.
I love the idea of a recurve but it’s not realistic for me to go hunting with, and ultimately I’ll grab a compound but man I don’t want to tinker with anything. I just want to nock my goldtips and shoot.
