AR question

Im looking into getting an AR and I have not the slightest clue of what I’m doing. I’m looking for an AR-15 chambered in 5.56 with a M-lok rail. As I said earlier I have no clue what I’m doing and I’m still doing research into the platform itself to make an educated decision. I have an airtight budget of $900 (Airtight as in I want to be able to eat at least once this year).

My specifics:.
I would like the rifle chambered in 5.56/2.23.
It NEEDS to be at or under$900.
I would like it to have a m-lok rail (preferential).
I would like the barrel to be under 20in.
I want something that’ll last a long time.

I’m interested in upgrading it a bit and slapping an eotech+magnifier on it. Thanks for your suggestions!
