    Hi all,

I’ve got a question about bringing magazine parts from the USA back to Europe.

I’ll be visiting the USA in a couple of months, and would like to buy a magwell and magazine +5 basepads that are not available in Europe. Then I’ll just throw them in my checked in luggage when I take the plane back to Belgium.

I know there are no European laws prohibiting me from doing this, since all these things are legal here. However, are there any US laws that keep me from doing it? (Federal law and local Florida law)

    Thanks in advance!

They’ll give you room and board for your efforts.

ITAR, or other federal regulations matter prohibit it.

    Duel US-PL citizen here.

I have traveled back and forth between USA and Europe many times, with all sorts of items including gun parts. About the only times that customs officials flag luggage with gun parts is if they are very obvious parts, such as assembled magazines, buttstocks, etc. Small and inconspicuous things like magazine floor plates or a magwel are not obvious, especially if they are aftermarket designs. Even if it was stopped, you could say that they are yours and you brought them with you when you entered USA.

I bet it’d be fine. Throw some new ones on your checked bag and roll
