Have everything picked out, know what to look for, wondering if anyone here has strong opinions for or against certain manufacturers, given there are a million options. Currently looking at PSA and Aero but willing to spend more. Thanks!

Aero is my go to. Very high quality machining and anodizing, with tensioning screw for reducing wobble to the upper, and threaded rear detent hole if you want to run a pistol tube.

Literally doesn’t matter for forged lowers, pick a roll mark you like.

Aero has excellent quality control and is probably the best value on the market atm. Pair it with an Aero upper for the same reason.

I like the PSA Stealth. No logo so you can laser etch or just leave it blank.

It straight up doesn’t matter. Pick what you like. A 30 dollar Anderson lower will perform just as well as any high dollar lower out there. You’re paying for the roll mark and the looks.

Spikes, Anderson, Enhanced m4E1 Aero. Those all are trust worthy.

Anderson and PSA are fine. However I’ve built a few AR’s using Aero Precision lowers and their fit and finish have been great. I recommend their M4E1 lower as it has a built in trigger guard and threaded bolt catch pin. Their Gen 2 lower is great too, just dislike having to punch pins. On sale, I’ve bought M4E1 lowers at around $65 and Gen 2 around $49 (before shipping/tax).

Aero is the lowest quality I’d go. PSA, Anderson have had some wild quality issues over the years
