Firearm and Gun Forums Firearm and Gun Forums Ammunition Reloading Can a .300 Blackout load effectively fire an M2AP projectile? And can it also effectively fire a subsonic M2AP projectile at close range? I’m very curious how effective if at all such a load might be! Thank you in advance for any educated answers🙏🏻

Yes it would effectively fire it. Supersonic or subsonic.

However, armor penetration is highly dependent on velocity.

An AP projectile fired from a 300blk would probably only be as effective at the same weight leadcore fmj projectile.

Will go bang, will have extremely poor to non existent armor penetration
