carbine buffer tube and spring with a 24-inch ar 15 upper

so I’m building my first ar15, and today I went and bought some parts, I got a carbine buffer tube without thinking about it, and my upper has a rifle length gas system. Would this buffer tube work, and if so what buffer and spring should I get?
