    Wanted to know if I could use the stock off a .308 2A rifle on a .303 smle. Couldn’t find any good awnsers from just googling.

    Maybe post on R/LeeEnfield or R/Milsurp? From what I understand, these stocks are pretty much hand fitted so you will have to do some fitment work to bed it properly either way.

    From Wikipedia: “The stock is recycled from the No. 1 Mk. III armory stock, with the addition of a cross screw forward of the magazine well.”

    I’d say it’ll probably work. I’m not sure if that cross screw would interfere with anything, but it could probably be made to work.

    I had to do some slight dremel work(nothing extensive just had to kinda notch out the metal reinforcement where the forend wood meets the reciever ) to get an old India drill stock to fit my lithgow no1 but I don’t know if it was from a 2A or a normal no1

    Yes, may require a bit of minor fitting just like any other Enfield Mk3 to Enfield Mk3 swap

Now
