I’ve seen some of them for about 500 around on some sites, which is far less than the 1500-2000 i would expect to be spending on a decent rifle/scope setup. I actually started my marksmanship journey with aperture and globe sights and am very familiar with them, so that’s not a concern.
I was wondering if anybody had one or had information on how accurate these tend to be. I understand that for decent accuracy my best bet is to handload, and even then a loading setup plus the rifle will be cheaper than anything else modern.

Have you read the starter rifle guide in the FAQ? You could put together a RAP and a long range type optic like a Vortex Diamondback Tactical for about $800.
Has a threaded muzzle, nice trigger, a 6-24x optic, and unlike a $500 CG-63 – won’t be a gamble on whether the rust extends into the bore. The nice CG’s, the ones worth owning to shoot like a modern rifle, look to be closer to $1100-1200.
