Everyone is hating on the G44, and while it’s not a new defensive handgun everyone wants it does and will serve a purpose for many. Great for training and practicing the fundamentals of shooting. And if it’s as reliable as they say then it will outsell all of the other 22 semi autos on the market that are plagued by cycling failures caused by an under powered 22lr. I bet the G44 will do very well and that just means more cash flow to develop other models.

I just wonder what else they realistically expected from Glock. They line up at this point is basically complete, PCCs aren’t their thing and they know it and the 17 on 19 concept is already something they know they don’t want to pursue…

I want them to do a .357mag. They need to make this happen. Also a .22mag, and a 5.7×28

Glock is known for there reliability. They would not risk that if this thing did not work

How can you “train” with a 22? It’s like training to drive a car by riding a bicycle

Yes, it should be a good practice piece. If it’s ‘Glock reliable’, with it’s lightweight, it would make a great kit gun. 10 rounds…like the market leaders Ruger MK and Browning Buckmark. Glock service excellence…unlike Taurus’s traditional crap service. Competitive pricing with Ruger and Browning…if retail is in the mid-$300s, as expected. It’s a decent option, and no doubt Glock will sell them by the truck-load. Glock needed a .22LR. Yeah, I was one of those hoping for something a little more exciting, but it is somewhat entertaining to see the trolls p*** and moan about a new .22 pistol. The more, the better.

There are plenty of reliable .22 pistols on the market. Have been for a very long time. Most of which you get more for less than what glock is offering. The only reason this will do well period is because of fanboys and the hype around glock. Even in their regular line up, same concept applies. You can get more for less or around the same

I’m fine with it except for the paltry 10 rounds. It’s .22 man, give me some more.
