Just wanted some last minute opinions to help me decide on my first kayak.

I live in PA and was looking for a primarily Lake/Creek kayak (Nockimixion, Leaser etc.) Would like to do some river fishing kayaking Lehigh/Delaware/Susquehanna (when it’s calm & relaxed, don’t look to be fighting the current or putting money in a trolling motor) but definitely not my main choice of water. I’d be loading it on a roof rack as well.

Found a few used Lifetime Tenton 100s around $300-350 but I’m worried I should just put that cash towards a $500-600 kayak in case I hit rivers. Hoping to spend around $500 or less in case I end up not using it as much as I plan to. Also found a Tenton Pro for $500 which I’ve been eyeing up.

Thanks for any opinions and insight!

If there isn’t a lot of white water than I would go with a 12’. They track better than a shorter yak. My personal opinion is that entry level kayaks are great for the money. Once you get farther into it then you can always upgrade.

I have a Pelican 100x Angler, and I think it is the best bang for the buck out there.
