First-timer advice for shooting range

Hey y’all, bit of a newbie to guns here, unless you count airsoft and .22 bolt-actions at summer camp when I was a kid. Ive never really been around guns or hunting since my family leans more left, but I’ve always been fascinated by them.

I recently expressed interest to my girlfriend’s dad about going to a range and he is really excited to take me. So, just thought it would be worth asking for any tips, advice, unspoken (or explicit) rules that an “outsider” like myself might not necessarily be aware of. I’m 20, and in Georgia, if that means anything 🙂
