I’m a student at Texas A&M going on a study abroad to Chile from Dec 26th- Jan 13th. I’ll be flying with my group into Santiago, spend a few days in Villarrica and then say goodbye to the group back in Santiago at noon on the 9th. From that point I am looking to fish the rest of the trip. I haven’t made any plans but am open to any suggestions including camping, commuting to a nearby region, etc. Obviously I’d like to keep the trip as low budget as possible as I am a college student so any advice is appreciated.

I don’t have any advice for your trip to Chile… However, I am an Aggie class of ’11 and wanted to give you a Howdy and Gig ‘Em!

Have fun on your travels and good luck fishing!

Santiago is hundreds of miles north of the trout fishing. There are probably some spots around Villarrica tho.
