I mean, it’s better than throwing a rock or using a bat. And if it’s the only firearm you have or can afford- OK. That said, “Better to wound than kill to save a lot of trouble” is by far the stupidest part of this display of ignorance

I might consider using .22 for home defence. But only if I’m shooting 177 of them out of an American 180 at full auto.

It wouldn’t be one of my first 10 choices out of my safe, but I’m pretty sure I could fuck someone up with a 10/22 and a BX-25 full of CCI Stingers.

22lr is lethal, but not ideal. Honestly I think we go too far in understating how lethal .22 is because some overt fudds talk about them like they’re howitzer shells.

They’re not an ideal cartridge, but if someone tried to stab me and all I had was a 22lr I wouldn’t exactly feel outgunned.

9 hole video on the beretta 71 has significantly improved my regard for 22lr, but only an idiot would choose 22lr over any centerfire cartridge

I mean, a few shots to the head would put a person down but I still wouldn’t consider it a viable home or self defense round. There’s a lot of variables and what ifs there. Especially when better options are readily available, like 5.7, .223/5.56, and .22 Magnum. .22 Hornet even.

And that wound instead of kill shit is so idiotic. Everywhere on the body is a kill shot. Organs, arteries, etc. It’s just a matter of time.

Just remember the most common round to be killed by is 22lr then shotguns. Unless you are in war

    > 10 round capacity

Bruh my home defense pistol has 16. My rifle has 30. The fact this fudd hasn’t even gotten extended mags is so telling

Also wounding someone in a home invasion is the much more legal problems than killing them. This dude has no idea what he’s talking about

Only way I’m going to run a .22lr for defense is if it’s a 100rd drum full of segmented HP going full auto.

    Ruger Mini-14

Tell me you don’t know shit about guns without saying you don’t know shit about guns

It’s also a fact you could kill a person with a fork, doesn’t mean I should or want to
