    Depending on where the knot happened i just clip it and tie on a new tippet section.

    If it’s in the heavy butt section I wouldn’t worry about it. If it’s in or near the tippet section it may be a failure point.

    If that the case you would have to change it after every fish just pull on it as if you were a suspected trout too test it

    It has reduced the strength. Replace it.
