    Hi everyone.

I’m in the process of assembling a rifle. It’s going to be built off of a Bighorn Origin action, with a Proof carbon fiber barrel. I’m looking for it to be used as a hybrid range/hunting rifle. I’m having trouble finding a stock. I’m looking for one that will accept the Proof Sendero profile barrel, as well as an AI style DBM. My price range is between $500-$1000. I’m looking for one that does not require me to pillar bed, or require a significant amount of inletting for the barrel or action. Does this exist? I’m having trouble finding one.

    Thanks for your help.

Just my 2c: game scout and warden have shit cheek weld heights for most people shooting large scopes. The game hunter has a Montecarlo style rear end which gets you up where you need to be and keeps you from beat by recoil. I have owned all 3 models and now own 3 gamehunters. The EHR1 is very comparable in fit and weight as is the ag composite alpine hunter. My adviCe is get whichever is cheapest and buy more ammo/components.

For that price my first consideration would be ordering exactly what you want from McMillan. The Gamehunter with pillars installed, fully finished to your exact specs will run you $600-$750 depending on additional options.

If you want something right now you can buy a Greyboe with an M5 inlet from Redhawk Rifles right now.

If you want a stock – Manners with a mini chassis.

If you want a full chassis – PDC Custom.
