Does anyone know how I can acquire another copy of my handgun license? Bought it in Southern California when I was active duty military and have since moved up to Northern California. Somehow misplaced it and wondering how to go about getting another or if I even need it. Thanks in advance.

Edit: sorry I meant proof of purchase or ownership

Are you talking about the firearm safety certificate or the Dealer Record of Sale? California doesn’t have a firearm license.

I’m guessing you mean DROS. You get it from the dealer you bought it from. But you shouldn’t need it unless you have valuable property insurance on them.

You have to have a license for a constitutional right?

Should have asked in r/CAGuns you need to go back to whoever issued you your FSA to get a reprint. Has to be the exact same person so if they don’t work at the gun shop anymore you’re screwed. Gonna have the pay the $25 to take the test again.
