If you’ve ever used Pmags and steel case ammo to work on malfunction drills, go ahead and hit that like button.
Spoiler84GuestMay 4, 2021 at 10:37 pm
I’ve run into enough mag induced malfunctions that I won’t carry a Glock pmag for defense
TrustNoOneButGODGuestMay 4, 2021 at 10:37 pm
Yea man. Pmags and steel do not mix well.
Floridacracker720GuestMay 4, 2021 at 10:37 pm
I actually use Pmags with Steel Case Tula when out shooting in my back yard and I haven’t had one issue. Do they have a reputation of being a trash combo?
Terrible_Detective45GuestMay 4, 2021 at 10:37 pm
Next do ETS mags.
daklawGuestMay 4, 2021 at 10:37 pm
Don’t mean to change the subject but where’s a good place to get pmags at a fairly good price?
TemporaryLikeSadnessGuestMay 4, 2021 at 10:37 pm
I enjoyed the GT reference. 👍
ExtraditeGulenNowGuestMay 4, 2021 at 10:37 pm
I actually use the Academy Monarch Steel on my Glock 45 with pmags and I’ve had maybe 1 out of 500 rounds fail to feed.
ezekgGuestMay 4, 2021 at 10:37 pm
Honestly, I run steel and PMAGs all the time and I’ve never had an issue. I’ve shot thousands and thousands of steel case through my Glocks, but maybe I’m just lucky.

It’s not just me?! I sold all my p-mags because I kept getting James with steel ammo,
snackarydaquiriGuestMay 4, 2021 at 10:37 pm
Reddit doesn’t have like buttons.
nutless93GuestMay 4, 2021 at 10:37 pm
Magpul rifle mags are great. Magpul pistol mags, not so great.
WhiskeyCake84GuestMay 4, 2021 at 10:37 pm
Never had a problem with Pmags in thousands of rounds. But I don’t shoot trash ammo.
mastertoms69GuestMay 4, 2021 at 10:37 pm
I have used a ton of Winchester and wolf steel in all sorts of mags. Its my go to when i want to bump fire as many mags as possible through my ar9. I cant remember having any failures. I spray them with a little case lube or oil before they go into the long clear ets mags though as they tend to bind otherwise
AlarmingAd6390GuestMay 4, 2021 at 10:37 pm
Works every time. I mean for not working.
Firefox14131GuestMay 4, 2021 at 10:37 pm
This man speaks the truth.
captainchronic519GuestMay 4, 2021 at 10:37 pm
I’ve never used steel cased ammo period, does it do okay in Glock OEM mags?
ThiccDave69GuestMay 4, 2021 at 10:37 pm
I do the same thing with my AR but I use promags and steel ammo.
Euphoric_Comb7346GuestMay 4, 2021 at 10:37 pm
Before my matches I put lube in the mag haha. No issues yet. However my 17 rounders do not like steel
AddNomAndHimGuestMay 4, 2021 at 10:37 pm
What chest rig you running?
bleedingheroGuestMay 4, 2021 at 10:37 pm
Its sad that’s all i can find right now.
ch3st3rrrGuestMay 4, 2021 at 10:37 pm
I’m new I have the three factory mags what company makes cheap mags that are worth buying?
LeanDixLigmaGuestMay 4, 2021 at 10:37 pm
Holy crimp job on that steel cased round…
SwimmingBeneficial79GuestMay 4, 2021 at 10:37 pm
Are these worth buying for practice? I want to keep my good mags loaded and have some practice ones.
wnc_mikejayrayGuestMay 4, 2021 at 10:37 pm
Is this Facebook?
WhyAreYouYellingBroGuestMay 4, 2021 at 10:37 pm
Uhhh, I shot that exact combo with zero failures last time I was at the range 🤷🏻♂️
Then again, I did lightly oil the follower on the sides immediately before loading, then hand unloaded, then loaded again (to evenly spread the oil), so the oil prevented any dry plastic on dry plastic snags.
Honestly, I don’t know what all of you people out there are doing so wrong with guns, none of my shit malfunctions like it does for a lot of people on the internet. Are you seating your rounds to the back of the mag like you’re supposed to so the bullet isn’t rubbing against the front and dragging and causing the bullet to feed wrong?
Oh, and maybe it’s also because I use a Glock 17 which is the correct answer, all other variants are trying to shoehorn that design into too small of a slide travel. If you wanted reliable, the 17 is the one.
You could be limpwristing, too, Glocks like that less than almost any other handgun…
Edit: oh, I’m sorry, my bad for having a gun that works because I know what I’m doing. Enjoy your jams and whining.
