I’m looking for inexpensive light options for my AR. I only have a rail on the top, but would like it to be side mounted or have a 90 degree offset.
I’ve been looking at the Ozark Rail Mount Rifle Light (https://ozarkarmament.com/rail-mount-led-rifle-light/) since it’s only $50. Any other recommendations or arguments against this?
What would I need to side mount this? I’ve seen mini rails that can be placed on the side of the hand guard, but I’m VERY new to the AR world.
The light would most likely be used indoors by the way.

Mini rails are fine for lights. Polymer or metal both work. I keep my light attached just so. Don’t use your light as a bayonet if you use polymer rails to mount it.

I have an Ozark pistol light that I only bought because I had Amazon gift cards.
It’s been on my PX4 for probably 2 years now and it still works like it did the day I got it. I’ve easily put 1500+ rounds through the gun with it.
I wouldn’t say it’s good enough for “duty use” or CC, but I do trust it for my PX4 which serves as my HD side-table handgun that doesn’t get beat up.
