Don’t let the passive aggressive comments get ya down, this sub definitely does have a lot of helpful users. The gap is normal. I’m no expert, but I know the gap is present on every Glock. Read more from this sub and watch some YouTube videos… that gun will do everything you bought it to do, with little to no fail.

But get out and shoot that thing! Give your wife easy targets so that she sees success early. Use fruit like a watermelon or something that makes a show when hit. (Clay pigeons, Steel targets, bowling pins, soda/juice jugs) if ya really want her to have fun. The reality is, you have to make it easy and fun to hook the hesitant shooters. Good luck!

It’s like a cold air intake on your eclipse. Makes it more aerodynamic

No worries here. This Glock is good to go.

If my glock can shoot when I pull the trigger, it’s probably alright. Even if there is a couple bullet holes in it, or a barrel obstruction.

This is my first Glock (and handgun), a G19 Gen 4. I’ve had it for a little over 5 years, but have only taken it to the range once, putting about 40 rounds through it, which was probably right at 5 years ago. It’s been in its case in storage ever since.

Took it out to clean while I was cleaning out my other firearms, and noticed the gap after reassembly. I’ve tried resetting it multiple times and just can’t get it to set right, and I don’t remember if this gap was there before field stripping it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
