I am looking to spend between 300 and 500 dollars. Prefer compact / subcompact. I’ve got no brand preference or much regard for cosmetics. What should I buy ?

I only have 2 pistols that fit this. FnS 9C and CZ P10c. Full ambi slide lock/release and Ambi mag release. P10C takedown is exactly the same as glock. FNS 9C breakdown is like Smith/Sig with takedown lever. The Prices are cheaper than $500

As a lefty/Ambi, I will agree with the people who said, learn how to shoot a right handed gun with your left hand, it takes a little work but it can be done. This is especially true if you start to shoot rifles as finding a rifle that ejects cartridges out the left instead of the right is near impossible, unless you are willing to have a rifle built from the ground up which can be a hefty price, which this is the biggest issues I have with right handed firearms is when I shoot a rifle, there is a chance that the hot cartridge will eject right on my shoulder, have a few minor burns from that.

I love my p10c, however the mag release on new models is not ambi. I’m a lefty and just had them switch it around before buying

Unpopular opinion: learn to run a right handed gun. My wife and little brother are both lefties, and I tell them the same thing. If you’re training for self defense, there’s no guarantee that the weapon you end up with when it’s showtime will have ambi controls. EVERY gun will have right handed controls. It takes more practice, but you can learn to do reloads just as fast on a right handed gun.
