My 42 is being a bad baby 😳 has any had this problem before

This picture was after the fifth round was fired the casing got stuck in the slide, I removed it then took then thought about taking a picture to get help from some pros in the group.

Edited to better help get answers
The gun has only fired a little over 200 rounds
    Of American Eagle for practice
And maybe 50 of the CD that I EDC with

    I’m use to my 17 and 21

I have big hands 🤦🏽‍♂️ and the 42 is almost not my style, but I love how it fits in my pocket on the run

Been shooting only Glocks for about 8 years so I will take some blame if possible limp wrist 🤔 but I swing hammers all day on the construction site so I’m not 100% sure that’s the problem. But if it is I want to fix it my man hood has been gone from the day my daughter painted my toenails 🌈 😂 I just want to keep loving my 42

My 42 had some issues with ammo. 90Gr XTP has been running flawlessly

The small glocks need an extra strong grip. Same exact thing happened to me the first time with HSTs

Mine was really picky on ammo. Rumor is after 300-500 rounds it gets better. I decided to get rid of mine.

Did you just drop your chambered round through the chamber, or did you let the process take place from the magazine?

    Rip, rack, and roll!

    It’s not a 9mm

    A .380 chamber isn’t deep enough to fully chamber a 9mm round.

Burrs on the barrels feed ramp, take magnify glass, then a small file then lightly hit it with scotch brite.

Just polish the feed ramp and you’ll be Good

That round is unfired correct? Are you teasing the slide forward when you chamber a round?

Is it new? Might need breaking in, lubes, or you. Could be limp wristing

If its fired already then you should check your extractor.

I’ve seen lots of problems with the 42. Break in may do it, but ammunition may also be an issue. If problem doesn’t correct send it to Glock.

Strong grip completely through the firing process is required with the 42.
