    My First Handgun Purchase

Opinions are always mixed on this one, but it’s a good budget gun, IMO. I’ve run thousands of rounds through mine without any issues. Trigger takes practice, but if you can’t land shots at reasonable self defense distance with this gun…the problem is you, not the trigger.

    Nice! I like the two-tone. It’s a good look.

I had one for a few years and it was just as reliable as any of my Glocks. I think they are great guns, good first gun in my opinion.

    Underrated machine.

You could compare it to more expensive stuff, but why?

I also bought this for my first gun a few days ago! Gonna get an Apex trigger for it after I take it out.

I bought one, it was my second purchase, my first was a Ruger GP100 4″ 357.

This is my carry piece though and I have fired it more than any other I have bought since…. over 1,000 rounds through it, not a jam, stove pipe or any issues… great weapon, good luck, be safe and enjoy.

Hey this was my first handgun purchase also! I think this gun is great, super accurate! I put in the Apex spring and trigger, found some Trijicon HD Night Sights half off at my LGS and slapped on Talon Grips. Currently awaiting a Streamlight TLR-7 flex light I found for $100. A+ now!

Thanks for all of the feedback an comments everyone. I understand it is not a premium piece of hardware, but I will take what I learn from this gun and apply my experience to inform my next gun purchase. I have not even fired gun yet!

Looks an awful lot like my Sig P320 with a Glock takedown lever.

Congrats! Well done. Read the manual, take it apart and put it back together a bunch of times. Dry fire it a bunch as well.

    First of many, I suspect.

I bought this gun from Academy several years ago as my first gun. It’s a decent budget gun. I don’t shoot as accurate with it as my other pistols but that’s probably just me.
