For those of you wondering about our budget: we were looking for a 2 bedroom around 4000 – 4300 (which would be split between both of us). Yes, Manhattan is veryyy expensive, I know. But you gotta do what you gotta do! Feel free to ask any more (respectful) questions and I’ll be happy to answer! 😊

I haven't checked to see if you told which you chose, but I would guess you went with No. 2 because under budget and the big kitchen. Big living space is waaaay overrated, you just stay in your bedrroom usually anyway. I also liked the open views with terrace you loved, nobody can look in, you get a little sense of privacy. Yes, No. 2.

Not to get into your business, but it won’t have been great and more informative if you could have given a round figure as to what the rents are in such apts in NYC

Woooooo ‼ That window shot was trippy as if I was being thrown out 😄😄😄😄 afraid of heights . NY is expensive. I moved from there 2yrs ago and my rent was $1800 but it was a small keebler elves 3 bdrm home in LI 🙌PA is half that . A lot of dirt though for the price . Do you know who is above you , noise disturbance so check !

For your budget you would have gotten something super nicer, modern & luxurious in New Jersey. A lot of people like myself commute daily into the city and it’s really convenient. New Jersey apartments are better in all aspects. Thanks for sharing, very informative and helpful. 💕

Why do you wave your hands around when u speak? It’s so distracting. I can’t focus on what your saying.

Totally agree on that last point about the Net Effective Rent being a turn off, better to lead with the actual price you would pay and then say that the landlord is offering an incentive if you sign a longer lease. I did like the last apartment the most, the 1.5 bathrooms would make a very big difference to me in a share situation. I dont want to be fighting over using the bathroom to get ready in the morning.

for #2 and #3, can you share the apartment company name? I love the layout and amenities there! I'm hunting for a studio, so I'm not sure if they have those types in there though.

Great vid ….but you panned the camera too fast, could not properly get the feel for the space. Thanks for posting the rent cost.

I lived in Kips Bay/Murray Hill/ Nomad for many years with my son and his father. I couldn't afford the area once we broke up. I now live in Harlem for half the rent and twice the space. But I do miss the area. 🙁 So many good memories.
