I was always told that the number was indicative of the patent in sequential order. If this is true this would mean they had the patent for this gun right after they produced the 43 so why wait so long to release the gun?

The time they wasted on resources, time, and money. It could have been more useful in a popular caliber or approaching a different type of striker fire pistol/SBR/2011’s/ something along a rigle…🤦‍♂️….. Seriously, Over hyped advertising. Something “BIG” is not a .22LR it would be like a new 44 Magnum. Image the G40 or G20 in a .44 caliber 🤤. Disappointed Mr. Gaston….🙍‍♂️
