We would like to remind subscribers of basic rules.

    1. **Self-promotion is not allowed.** Linking to your YouTube channel or business is against the rules of the sub.

    2. **Respect the environment**. Do not post pictures of illegal catches. I think most people already understand this.

    3. **Respect others**. If someone wants to keep a fish and it is legal in their area, refrain from criticizing them. This also goes for hitting on people’s looks. This is not a single’s bar.

    Thanks for being here.

Can someone explain to me why my post from yesterday never popped up in any channel on r/fishing? I looked in new and in hot and everything and never saw it. It’s only had 1 view also. I’ve posted it twice now and this happens and other fish I’ve tried to post keep saying post failed. This is one of my favorite subs and I wanted to continue posting but this is kinda pissing me off. I’ve read all the rules multiple times and even tagged everything and gave a location. Still nothing. Can a mod help me out here?
    *edit for spelling

Hi, I was wondering if I would be able to post a link to a fishing discord server. I had been lookin good one for a while, but hadn’t been able to find one, so I made one. I think it would be a good enhancement to the fishing community for people to interact. If I cannot post the link, it’s ok, I understand.

I’m sure there may be better places to ask this, but anyways. How do I go about posting pics? I’ve just been lost on using the imgur stuff. Thanks.

Hi, this is my first post, I decided to check out reddit becasue is has really been growing as a source for traffic on my YouTube channel. I made myself aware of the terms of use before I joined so I knew that self promotion was discouraged, though I thought a small amount was acceptable. Iam not to worried about it either way. Iam actually pretty excited to be a part of the community after I see how it works, pretty cool. Anyway, iam an avid fisherman, probably 300 or more days a year ( my job and primary hobby) so I hope to contribute alot here.
