Question about gas marks on barrel

I built this 16″ rifle a couple of months ago and have ~1k rounds through it. I took off the hand guard and noticed what looks like marks from gas on parts of the barrel. There are marks on the receiver and muzzle side of the gas block. I’m not expecting a perfect seal but does this seem excessive?
