    Question for driftless anglers
What is the stream bottom like for wading ? I have rubber soles, studded rubber soles and felt boots
Will the all rubber boots give me a good grip on most streams or do I need to go with a more aggressive tread ?
    Thanks

Where? It a;; depends on the river, often time of year.

Yeah rubber is fine anywhere I’ve been

If it’s a super fast river, I’d recommend felts with studs even though they’re a pain to clean. Other than that rubber bottoms will do ya well.

Don’t wear felt in below freezing temps. It will ice completely up when you are out of the water. I like rubber with aluminum bars or Rock Treads.

Rubber soles are fine in the driftless. Studded rubber is also just fine. Felt is not needed in the driftless and it sucks in the winter.
