Hey Guys Im looking at getting a XCR-M used, and it comes with the 243 win. barrel. Im trying to figure out what I need to do to make the 308 conversion. Online has been a bit vague, can you guys weight in on this?

I know I will need the barrel kit, but it seems that the bolt is the same?

I’d recommend calling Robinson Armament directly. Good folks and they’ll know exactly what you need. There are enough different generations of their weapons out there and different gas systems that no answer your likely to get here will be accurate without more information on your specific rifle.

Congrats, the XCR is a seriously awesome and unfortunatey under rated weapon system.

The case head diameter is the same for .243 and .308 since the .243 is basically the .308 case necked down. The barrel kit and some go/no go gauges should be all you need to swap calibers and check headspace.
