    My first thought is cranefly larva, but I don’t know much about them and I have no idea about the silver ‘bead’. Was it solid and part of the critter, or was it just, I dunno, being held by it? Maybe it was trying to eat a piece of garbage, like a plastic or steel bead?

    I’m very curious to see what more knowledgeable folks have to say!
