Blind? Yes. Hunting? Not hardly. Unless you consider sitting on your azz and waiting for a deer to walk by, or go to your bait or feeder. SMDH

Very nice job sir, I'm envious!! I am 62 now and like you I can't take the cold like I used to. My Mrs and I both hunt and we've been talking about building something we can hunt from together and be comfortable.

I can just imagine it…..sitting up there with the guys, laughing and playing cards. The smell of bacon and eggs frying, drinking hot coffee, telling stories…..did I miss anything? Oh yeah maybe a deer even walks by

Super job as you age you realize a comfortable stand helps you to enjoy the hunt . Do not let the haters influence you they are just showing they are jealous. Hopefully you are able to enjoy it for a long time.

At what point does it go from hunting a deer one on one in the woods to sitting up high in a warm small house and waiting for a deer to lumber by and then you shoot it like it's a dumb cow strolling by. your not hunting deer, your harvesting them.

This is hunting deer like a duck hunter. It's not for those of us who go after big bucks in big woods. We track, stalk, still hunt and get a lot of exercise covering lots of ground and viewing lots of beautiful scenery. Sadly, it's a vanishing skill set. Heck I only recently started carrying a flip phone while hunting, just for emergencies, and it's only turned on when needed. I'm 64 now and in my 49th deer season. I would love hunting ducks from a blind like this. Maybe I'll consider hunting deer from a blind like this when I'm too old to hunt like a deer hunter.

If it was my blind seeing you already have a leaching field for sink I'd run some five gallon buckets on ground in lower section that can be changed or sink a 55 gallon drum in ground for sewer and install a camper flush toilet inside. I would also lay down some sort of outdoor carpet that can be easily removed to change or rinse out to dampen noise from walking around and stop any draft issue. Plus I'd run a couple propane tanks like the bigger camper size in lower section and run up what ever gas tubing inside for heat and cooking..
    But that's what I'd do.
