OK, I’ll admit. I’m a bad gun owner. I don’t detail clean my firearms after every 20 rounds, and I barely clean them after a couple hundred.
But, yesterday while sighting in a new optic on my rifle, I started having problems. A FTF (with a nice dent in the side of the case,) then a weird one where no round fed. So, I figure the rifle needs a cleaning (finally,) more than the quick wipe down with a gun oil wipe that it got before the range trip.
So, would an ultrasonic cleaner be worth it for giving some of the “fiddly bits” a quick clean for my various firearms (pistol barrels, BCG for the rifle, etc) or should I not bother?
