Hello I’ve never hunted before but just moved to Utah and wanted to start. I got a bow and have been watching nockon and practicing for next year. It’s a ways out but just to plan I was wondering if anyone had good luck on public land for deer/elk or if it’s best to try and get access to private land? Also any beginner advice anyone has would be appreciated.

Hey man I live and hunt on Utah as well. plenty of public land here. Most guys around here exclusively hunt public since we’ve got so much and getting on good private land is generally pretty tough. Message me with any questions you have and I’ll try to help as best I can.

Practice a ton and just get out. Best way to learn is to mess up and learn from it. I know it’s kinda vague advice but it’s also true. Dont get ripped off by ads and fancy gear either, if you haven’t even gone yet how do you know you’ll even like it
