The best way to protect your family is to make sure they get money after you are murdered? Does her family really dislike her that much?
[deleted]GuestDecember 17, 2019 at 11:55 pm
The thing is the gun grabber doesn’t care if you die. As long as their social agenda is met. Just take out a life insurance policy! Who cares if your kids are orphaned? They’ll have a college fund!
You are pawns to be sacrificed to these people. Your individual life doesn’t matter; you’re a cog in a machine. This is what we’re up against.
DingledorfTheDentistGuestDecember 17, 2019 at 11:55 pm
Seriously how fucking detached from reality are these soccer moms? What the fuck do they not understand about protecting one’s self and family from violence? It’s not even remotely a difficult concept to comprehend.
IlovemakingbombsGuestDecember 17, 2019 at 11:55 pm
I think what she’s saying is turn your family members into cash cows, or whatever that specific thing is called where everyone puts money into a pot, and the final survivor gets to go find the cache of cash and cash it in.
British roulette or something? Theres a name for it.

We talking a 9mm life insurance policy? 45? 12 gauge buck shot life insurance policy?
MizchiefKilzGuestDecember 17, 2019 at 11:55 pm
Just shows the left puts no value in the father. They think the money collected from your life insurance is more valuable than you are.

The only thing keeping my family from cashing in on my life insurance is that they know I’m armed
CountDrewkuGuestDecember 17, 2019 at 11:55 pm
Did you know keeping a life insurance policy in the house means you’re more likely to die? tHAtS jUst A fAcT.
2017haydenGuestDecember 17, 2019 at 11:55 pm
I actually can’t believe a real person said that. What kind of sick degenerate has such total disregard for human life? This is the kind of garbage that comes out of the mouths of those who have no idea what it’s like to be in a situation where you feel your life or the lives of those you care about are in danger. Fuckin soccer mom social justice warriors! And Hell, whose to say the intruder would stop with the father. They may be a serial killer, or maybe they freak out and try to kill all the witnesses. Who’s gonna benefit from that life insurance policy when your whole families dead? Why the government of course. And they’ll use it to pay the hospital bills of the intruder who was injured by the police in the process of being captured. And if there’s any left over after that, who knows maybe they’ll 3D print another pizza for Congress.
dgd_mobius_centurionGuestDecember 17, 2019 at 11:55 pm
No amount of money would ever make up for the loss of my family.
Stupid bitch. (And I don’t always say stuff like that).
CowboySunshineGuestDecember 17, 2019 at 11:55 pm
I know i’ve said some dumb shit, i’ve been ignorant, done stuff that i cant even comprehend what compelled me to do it. But who in their right mind thinks “oh your getting robbed? Your life has no value except to whoever your beneficiary is”.
CroutonFireGuestDecember 17, 2019 at 11:55 pm
I have both. Nuff said.

This dumb bitch. I’ve actually had someone try to break in at *gasp* 2am. Dog didnt scare him off. But my Ruger 6 sure as hell did.
TruantJGuestDecember 17, 2019 at 11:55 pm
Honestly, for this type of person it makes complete sense. But it’s some accidental honesty. If she’s the beneficiary, a big payday in exchange for a grieving period followed by searching for and finding a new resource provider is probably a step up from from the slow and steady resource generation of marriage to a living mate. Accidental honesty in that it’s further evidence the left doesn’t value human life, and the deduction that loss of a mate is a reasonable exchange so long as someone benefits also indicates veiled golddigger tendencies.
Different conversation as to why but I suspect there’s plenty of women and feminine men who will agree completely
wee-tod-didGuestDecember 17, 2019 at 11:55 pm
the only policy i’d be concerned about is a liability policy to cover me if they survived.
ilove60sstuffGuestDecember 17, 2019 at 11:55 pm
Ahh but i have an ace! The insurance policy is on heavy card stock, and I fling it at my foe with great accuracy! Dispatching him with extreme velocity and grace!

bhairavaGuestDecember 17, 2019 at 11:55 pm
Guys let’s be fair, she was really just making a statistical argument, ie that armed robbery is so unlikely that you’ll probably benefit more by just getting life insurance instead.
Because yakno, it’s impossible to do two things.
That’s why I drive drunk smokin stogies without my seatbelt. STATISTICALLY UNLIKELY
AlphaTangoFoxtrtGuestDecember 17, 2019 at 11:55 pm

Aka “Just die, at least your family gets paid.”

This is great thinking , bad guys can’t kill you with guns if you’re already dead by a gun.

findaway5627GuestDecember 17, 2019 at 11:55 pm
A friend of mine put up a joking post about people who check behind their shower curtains for murderers – what would they do if they actually found one?
I replied with a gif of Angela Lansbury shooting a gun.
I kid you not, she said “you take a gun with you to the bathroom? You’re more attached than I thought”. With a boatload of snark.
count_nuggulaGuestDecember 17, 2019 at 11:55 pm
Bitch mostly all of us have life insurance policies. Doesn’t mean I want to fucking use it.
guitarkowGuestDecember 17, 2019 at 11:55 pm
“Burglar breaks into your house demanding you to open your safe.”
Clearly, he got the drop on me. Therefore, I comply fully until the safe is open. Because the safe is full of loaded guns.
BonehGuestDecember 17, 2019 at 11:55 pm
FFS, it’s designmom again. She wrote this [garbage fire of an article](https://www.designmom.com/a-gun-ban-is-inevitable/), I can’t remember whether I found it linked here or TTAG.

Barring all the other stupid implications of her argument, there are things way more important than money. I wouldn’t give up my right to self defense for literally all the money in the world.
ThatsaclevernameGuestDecember 17, 2019 at 11:55 pm
I hope that lady knows her one tweet, made out of ignorance, perhaps sleep deprivation even. Who knows maybe the drive thru at Starbucks was too long so she didn’t have her caffeine, boss yelled at her, whatever.
One tweet, and she will be memorialized for ever in the halls of dumb fucking shit on the internet.
lets_try_analGuestDecember 17, 2019 at 11:55 pm
Or, when I open the safe, stay with me, I shoot, I said stay with me, him with the loaded gun that’s in there.

And you’re saying they are a hate group?
zombieninjaGuestDecember 17, 2019 at 11:55 pm
Honestly though, she is right.
No hear me out.
She is right when she says it is statistically unlikely that someone will break into your house, and/or that you will ever have to draw your gun in self-defense. Impossible? No. Unlikely? Yes.
If you’re not buying new tires for your truck, but you are buying a new truck gun, you are not making the smartest choices when looking at improving your safety. Same if you’re spending your life insurance premium on ammo, or, worse, tendies that will give you the betus.
Now where this falls apart is:
1. We do not ban, or do away with, things simply because they are statistically less efficient at improving safety than other things. Should we ban driving sober because we have seatbelts? Probably not.
2. Shall not be infringed.
