All high velocity ammo will be subsonic out of a pistol. Need a rifle length barrel to get full velocity.

That black coating looks almost like the "Lubalox" coating stuff that Winchester used to coat their Black Talon Ammo line (the politically incorrect ammo that Winchester discontinued) with. My two cents.

No way those are subsonic. Check that chronograph.

This stuff is total JUNK.  30-40 rounds out of each 500 round box will not go off even after multiple attempts.  Steer clear.  I have over 10,000 rounds of this crap and wish I didn't have any of it.

my ruger sr 22 has the same exact problem. always on the 2nd round. i returned it to ruger TWICE already and the first time i got it back it actually got worst than before. i got it back from ruger again buti havent test fired it yet. they replaced my mag diconnect and slide assembly the first time. they replaced my barrel the 2nd time. hopefully it runs smooth. my friends brand new sr22 does not pick up the 2nd round also. could be a design flaw?

You should get a Remington Model 597, its the most advanced autoloading rimfire rifle ever built. You wouldn't have so many problems like you have with the Ruger. The Remington 30 round magazines are made by Eagle and they are awesome. I have never had problems with mine.

Well if it has a waxy feeling it is probably a standard copper platted round with a wax lubrication on it to help it feed smoother into an AR style rifle I had some AGUILA ammo that was the same way due to it being subsonic on the ammo I had

I just shot this ammo and found variability on some being subsonic while others were not. I am going to weigh them to see if I can sort the bulk box with any predictability.

My husband just picked up 2000 rounds of this at Walmart today $48 for the 1000 round box. We are going to shoot it out of a Sig522 we will let you know how it shoots.

Seems like they both performed near identically out of your pistol.

With My Ruger SR22 I have had it not pick up the second round in the magazine many times. When putting in a full magazine I rack in the first round and then it will fail to pick up the next, then it will load the rest no problem. I think that is a magazine problem, like to much spring tension, because I have shot about 8 different kinds of ammo and it will do this with all of them occasionally. The M22 Has been very good no duds and consistant powder charges.

Any failure to feeds with your Ruger SR22?

Thank you, you may want to check out the accuracy test i did recently, they did good.

I have not had the same results, they seem to have a consistant powder charge. Maybe you got a bad box that was exposed to moisture or lots of humidity. I recently did a accuracy test with several types of bulk ammo at 50 yards. Check it out at My channel. The M22 did very good in My rifle.

I have had terrible luck with this out of a 10/22..getting multiple fail to feed/eject, out of the 300 or so I shot today alone, I had to pull the mag out 6 or 7 times to clear, and had 1 that I had to pull the spent cartridge out of the chamber, this happened most often with a Ruger branded BX-25 that was fairly new; Butler Creek mags didn't have near the problems, but 1-2 out of each mag seemed to be WAY off, like 3-4 inches off from point of aim to point of impact.

There were a couple that chronographed very low, but that was because I am shooting close to the chronograph. A swing of only 20-40 FPS like I am getting with the M-22 is good ammo.

So far i have just shot them in the SR22, I have not tested them for accuracy in a rifle yet, i'll have to try that.

I was about a foot from the chrony, with a 22 it seems to work fine that close. Anything bigger I somtimes haveproblems if i am that close.

How close are you to the Chrony when you shoot? I've heard of people having muzzle blast issues when they're too close, but you look to be pretty close without much trouble.
