What I like about the Knuckle/Shoot moment is that it was the first time Shoot fought with all he had. Gon inspired him to stop being a coward and he even developed a new combat style meant just for him during combat. His risky style that required him to go above and beyond his own ability and focus like crazy. And after all that, even after fighting until near death, Youpi still didn't even acknowledge him as a combatant. Knuckle understood this. Their friendship is the reason why he misjudged his own priorities, but I find that part beautiful.
