There have been zero cases that could be used to determine the legality of the FRT-15. It has never been evaluated by any law enforcement agency for legality, least of all the ATF. Anyone who gives a definitive yes/no answer is full of shit because there isn’t one.
Until then, it’s all just guessing and if any law enforcement agency or legislative body decides tomorrow that it’s illegal, the people who own one in that jurisdiction are fucked. To say nothing of the possibility of the ATF shutting it down and screwing the whole country.
Such is life with these devices that exist to toe the line and thumb their nose at the NFA: they could all go away tomorrow just like bump stocks did. It’s up to you as a consumer to decide if that’s worth it.
