I’ve seen a few different milsurp flare guns including 26.5mm in the smaller handgun configurations and some of them look pretty beefy but I don’t think they can handle much pressure at all; flares are generally slower to ignite and lower pressure ammunition. The article describes this beastie as being built to handle higher pressures; I am not particularly educated on this point but I would like to see more information comparing what pressures this firearm was engineered to handle, compared to let’s say a standard 12g. I mean I’ve seen some much older flareguns that look super beefy but I’m certain they were built with a different, softer grade of steel than modern high pressure handguns. I’d like to see some specific technical specifications.
With that in mind I bet you can get 26.5mm > 12gauge converters
