There’s no such thing as a separate rimfire primer. Priming compound is poured directly into the hollow rim of a rimfire cartridge case.
If you were extremely handy, you could cut the base of an unfired rimfire cartridge off just above the rim and press it into an off center cavity you’ve cut into the head of a center-fire case and make it work. You’d be risking blowing up the gun if the working pressure was high enough and you had significantly weakened the center fire case, however.
It absolutely wouldn’t work without those modifications though.
