    On Midwayusa right now, 6.5 Creedmoor is around $1.20 per round for generic FMJ (WWB) in 125 grain.

    Assuming you save your brass and it lasts a while, your costs will be:

    Primer – 20 cents.
    Bullet – 40 cents for 123 grain SST.
    Powder – 22 cents for 44 grains of StaBall 6.5 at $35/lb.

    Total – 82 cents per round.

    Primer prices will probably fall back to around 4-5 cents per primer eventually, and you can find cheaper powder that is still quite suitable for around $20/lb shipped, which would drop your costs to around $0.58 per round.

    You can absolutely reload less expensive rounds even with panic pricing.
