Ex Turkish military here. Releasing combat footage is a huge risk for soldiers. Turkish Military is extremely strict regarding OPSEC and PERSEC.
Military will never release footage of actual small unit tactical in use. There are a tiny handful of leaks which mostly originate from the Gendarmarie operating under the ministry of interior not the actual military. The Gendarmarie are not as well trained as their counterparts in the Armed forces.
The risks are huge for soldiers that release footage.
Your looking at possible demotion. Being kicked out of your unit. Pay cuts. Even a court martial and sentence at times. What really makes it bad is if yany of your team mates in the footage are seen as being aware of your recording of the event, then they will also see the same punishments. So you don’t want to record any small unit tactics etc or combat becuse it could not only lead to your severe punishments but your brothers could also be equally punished just for being there.
