One of my shooting buddies introduced me to the Arisaka Optic Leveler. I had used the level-level-level method, feeler gauges, plumb-bobs and all sorts of methods before. This cut down my mounting time and I didn’t have to chase a bubble while tightening the rings screws.
I know… someone has a cheaper method using paper clips or pages from Carlos Hathcocks’ book. Just take it that this is an option.
